Hi

the dosage that the dermo prescribes to you will not necessarily depend on your body weight. The longterm level will depend on how your skin reacts to it.

Although Im a heavy weight @ 90kg, Im only on a single 20mg tab a day. To start off I was on a v.low 5mg, the dermo increased the dose gradually over several months until I found a level that gave a clear improvement to my skin but also had minimal side effects. On reflection doing it this way made more sense than starting on 90mg straight off, as the side effects (ie dry skin & lips) would have been 5 times worse than what they are now.

If u're not happy with your dose, TELL THE DERMO that you want the dose to be increased, even if its only by 5-10mg. I have done this a few times, it does help mentally because you feel that you are making progress, especially if youve been on the same level for several months.

hope it helps
