Hi,

I'm also an acne sufferer but by some miracle its cleared up of late, but I'm still going on roaccutane, as my dad has horrendous scarring etc and I don't think mine's ever going to go away.

I just wanted to say, that I know I KNOW its so hard, so many times I call in sick and blow off people and just lose all interest in socialising because I always feel like the ugly freak in the corner (I also had a wieght problem in my teens - you can guess how many guys were queuing up to take my phone number!!), and I'll try and be positive and buy some new cosmetic product or whatver but never works. But the thing is, the most attractive feature in people is self assuredness - not being up your own arse but just being sure in how you are, so really try to forget the negative things and concentrate on the good things, on the reasons why your family and friends love you.

And as for girls - I'm incredibly picky with men (and always have been, don't care if i'm fat and spotty doesn't mean i'm going to put up with d*ckheads) and now I'm slim with out the spots (so i guess vaguley attractive) and suddenly get offers from 'good looking' men, I'm not interested unless I get talking to them and they're kind and funny and nice. And I promise that is not a bull crap statement. I have turned down model men (one guy we used to call the 'adonis' in our lecture!!) for men others might not find attractive but I think are sexy as hell by the way they think and make me feel. So there. 80% of the world are nice and not superficial but we just all seem to concentrate on the crappy 20%! So there! The more you concentrate on the negative the bigger it will seem. Nice girls are out there!
