hi,
first i'll tell you a bit about my experiences with roaccutane.
i sympathise with your dilema. i too am on roaccutane, this is my second time. i agree that roaccutane does not cause depression and suicide, it is the condition (acne) itself that causes these feelings and the flare up which may further push someone over the edge.

there is this guy who works in my local supermarket and he is about 23 and has really bad acne and is probably on roaccutane. i always look at him and wonder if he feels like shit cos of his skin. i was 14 when my skin went to shit. massive welts on my chest, back and face made me feel very self conscious and ugly. while i was on roaccutane the side effects where horrid due to my high dosage. i couldn't even smile without my lips cracking and bleeding. people always asked did i have boyfriends and stuff but as if you would looking like i did.

my skin improved and i was left with scarring only on my back. this year at 20, i've had to go back on it again, and my chest is covered in pimples. i am strictly limited to wearing tops that don't plunge or go down at the back, i can't even wear bathers.

noone really cares though. boys don't really give a shit if you have pimples, well that's from my experiences anyway, i thought i'd have absolutley no chance of a sex life on roaccutane. i've found that everyone i know loves me for who i am and not what i look like. do you turn away friends because they have physical imperfections? i don't think so.

just remember there are people worse off than you, and most people simply do not give a shit if your face is covered in pimples. it's easy to get jealous and depressed of beautifu people but you gt over it. never put off seeing girls or dates or whatever just because you have bad skin, fuck it man. take a look around and see how many beautiful people there are too average looking. there are very few.

acne is a bitch, but when it's gone (even when it's not), life is really good. if you ever need to chat you can e-mail me. you will find most women will like you for who you are. you need to feel and act confident to pick up, i don't know why but i've felt pretty darn good on roac the 2nd time round. find some confidence, its really amazing where it will get you, people will admire you for it!
good luck!

while roaccutane temporarily disables my life it is only short term and it'l be fine after.
