Hi all,
When I read all of your stories I got very ashamed. I`m on roacutane for 4 weeks now and i hope it will help me. From when I was twelve I always had some acne. In the beginning only bumps on my forehead, when I became older also big red spots on my cheeks and chin. After a while I found out it also had to do with food. I started avoiding dairy products, pork and chocolate and i must say my skin got better. A few months ago i switched from birthcontrol method and my acne became worse. I never had acne like the most of you all got, but i felt uncomfortable with it. I`m 23 and I want to have a clear skin for the first time of my life. Because i tried a lot of other things now i am on roacutane. The difference is that I have to take it for two years. My dermatologist said that it is better to take it for a longer period in a lower dose. Everyday I take 20 mg. According to him at this way you get less inconvenience of the side effects (although I`ve got a very dry skin now) and the effects on the long term are better. So maybe this is something to consider when you are on roacutane. I wish you all good luck.
