I had a Blue Peel once and saw minimal if any improvement. However, though my scars are pretty shallow, they are also pretty old. (I'm 25, but they happened when I was an early teen.) Apparently, that can make a big difference, though I'm honestly not sure why.
: : Does anyone know anything about the different types of chemical peels and if they work on all types of acne scarring? I have heard of a "Blue Peel", has anyone tried this, and any idea of cost? I would be interested to know of anybody's different individual experiences of these, and whether they consider it has benefitted them in any way. I am looking to gain as much information on the various types as is possible. Thanx.
: hi , my name is angel,
: some chemical peels do work wonders but depending on the type of skin u have, as for me, my dermatologist recommends NeoStrata products which is formulated with PHA and AHA individually, also known as 'fruit acids'. They do work well on me but mine was a mild one so the scarring just take a couple of weeks to go off. But then i would strongly advise u to see a good dermatologist or specialist and not just any of the family doctors regarding acne scarring.
