Hiya, I've just started taking two month course of roaccutane. Having felt miserable and depressed for so long about my skin I've finally made a decision to try it. I've already tried all the topical antibiotics and being a female I've tried oral contraceptions. The cosmetic counters have made a small fortune out of me and nothing has worked.

I'm now 31, and having delayed taking this contraversial medicine I'm now giving it a go.

One week on, I feel conpletely normal, no drying or peeling, I've been drinking loads of water and using extra moisturiser. I think it's also improving, I've not been getting the sharp twinges I get when something is happening under my skin and that is something that happens a least once a week for me.

I think it really has to be a carefully considered decision and it depends also on your mental health. I'm no expert but i wouldn't dare take this if I had been depressed in the past.

Hope this is helpful

Lou
