hi, i'm a 20 yr old female suffering from acne. at the moment i am researching roaccutane. My Doctor thinks I should take it, as I am beginning to scar, which I am finding very hard to deal with on an emotional level....although i feel my family and friends aren't really understanding. They take the attitude that life could be worse and acne is not the worse illness to suffer from.
But it does have an effect on your confidence and how you act around people. You feel that your skin becomes the only thing that people see when they talk to you, the only thing they focus on. You can feel them making their judgments about your face and the lifestyle you must lead to incur such bad skin. They forget that as an acne sufferer you have to look at your face everyday and deal with what is there.
I can't decide whether to start on Roaccutance or not...if anyone has any advice i'd be really grateful.
